🚫 Banning tents won’t end homelessness—BUILDING BEDS WILL.
Fremont’s proposed camping ban isn’t a solution. It’s a smokescreen. Let’s stop pretending we don’t already have the tools. We’ve got the programs. We’ve got the people. We’ve got the passion.
What we don’t have? Enough beds. Enough spaces to heal. Enough political will to back the real work.
At Pathways to Services Development , we’re standing with the Coalition for Caring and dozens of community-based organizations who oppose this ban—because we know criminalizing the unhoused won’t change lives. But housing and services will.

Mentorship from people who’ve BEEN THERE
And we’re not the only ones. Our community is FILLED with providers who are ready to help. We just need the city to stop investing in punishment—and start investing in PEOPLE.
Don’t ban the tents. Fund the solutions. Let’s scale what works. Let’s build what’s needed. Let’s get people off the street—with dignity, not handcuffs.
